GPS darts track criminals
February 23, 2006 by Rich Owings
UPDATE: OK, I’ve been had. This one is a hoax, just like the GPS panties.
Earlier this month, I reported on GPS darts being used by LA police in an effort to reduce the number of dangerous car chases. Now comes news that a similar technology will allow a criminal suspect to be shot with a weapon that implants a GPS tracking device under the skin. The device is being produced by Empire North, a Danish company. Via All Points Blog.

Sorry I got had; it’s a hoax of sorts.
Thanks Adena. I bet somewhere, somebody is working on it though!
I think this is the best application of the GPS tracking devices and it must be used as much as possible
You know what, we have all been had at one time or another and I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I appreciate what you have done here in terms of education about this technology and especially like the products you have talked about for tracking dogs… my passion. Thanks again.
