It’s been a busy day, thanks to all the Garmin announcements emanating from CeBIT. I’ll close out today’s posts with an update on some MapSource products:
- This one didn’t come from CeBIT, but showed up on the Garmin Cartography page today. Topo software is now available on micro-SD cards for the US, Canada and Great Britain.
- From Hannover comes news that Garmin has announced expanded map coverage for Eastern Europe. New coverage will include detailed maps of select portions of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. Once again, these packages will only be available on "pre-programmed accessory SD or microSD cards, or pre-loaded in selected StreetPilot® and nüvi™ personal navigation devices (PNDs)." These products are expected to be available this month (March 2006).
