- GpsPasSion has a thread going on TomTom’s new MapShare service.
GPS hardware
- Back when I was using only a handheld GPS, I put my 60CS on a mount in my car. This guy has built one into his dash! Via Digg.
- GPS Tracking Systems reports on the Zoombak GPS pet tracking device.
- The FAA backtracks and allows continued use of IFR GPS (for the time being anyway).

- CNet rates Garmin Mobile 20, giving it a 7.0 out of 10.
- Sprint makes a location-based services play with Slifter, partnering with GPShopper.
- Personal navigation devices (PNDs) face a challenge from cell phones and "in some ways, the functionality is superior." Still trying to figure out what functions they are talking about.
- AT&T makes TeleNav Traffic available on certain Blackberry phones.

- Google Earth posts 10 meter imagery for the entire Western U.S.

- Virtual Earth gets an update too, including new birds eye imagery.

- Customize Google Earth with mapplets.
- Add driving directions and traffic to your Google Maps mashup.
