I live in the Uk and doing a long distance event in East Africa. The Organisers provide the GPs Co-ordinates for the route we will be following. The GPS is really just to make sure that we don&#039;t go off the track and that we are headed in the correct &#039;way point&#039; direction. 

Will a this GPS Etrex 10  / 20 or 30 work in East Africa?</description>

		<description>Yes, almost any handheld GPS will offer multiple formats. But if you are going to want to transfer them to or from the GPS, I&#039;d recommend a model with a USB interface instead of serial.</description>
