I just returned a TomTom One XL for the Nuvi 200W. While I lose the bluetooth and custom voices, the screen is so much better and responsive. You can also see this screen much more clearly when sun shines right on the screen. The battery life is much better on the Nuvi (5 hours vs. 2 hours). Another issue is that the TomTom speaker vibrated/rattled at volume levels over 65%. That means you can't hear it over any music. I also find the color schemes of the Garmin to be more easy to follow when browsing the maps. The actual maps are much smoother than the One XL. For example, the edges and resolution are more like Google Maps. Anyway, it is a shame because I liked the One XL overall. The TomTom Home software makes is much easier to find stuff for your One XL.
Anyway, there is a voices folder on this Garmin Nuvi. Is there any site that makes custom voices for a Garmin device. The files are in a different format (or at least have a different extension). Jill is nice, but I liked Mr. T better. ;-)
