- The Nokia N810 is an Internet tablet with integrated GPS. $479 with a 4.13" screen. Watch out Garmin!
- Technical-Itch reviews the Navman N40i.
- Navigon has a $50 rebate on the Navigon 7100 and 5100.
- There is good info on buying blank micro-SD cards for Garmin handhelds in this Groundspeak thread.
- Mio unveils a unit with a 7" screen, but there is no indication it will ever make it to the U.S.
TomTom
- Get Map Share on your TomTom ONE for free.
- TomTom continues to use Map Share for a marketing push.
- TomTom comes to New Zealand.

- The Apple iPhone is now supported on the TomTom GO 510, 910 and 720.

- SnowRanger has added a Northeast set to its Garmin and Magellan compatible ski resort maps.
- Garmin has posted a new beta version of its POI Loader for Mac.
- Garmin has posted a firmware update for the eTrex, Camo and Summit.
- A Japanese corporation introduces a map format that better integrates 2D and 3D.
Virtual globes
- The Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail in Google Earth.

- Business reviews come to Google Earth.
- Microsoft Virtual Earth now supports KML.

- GPS devices can cut greenhouse emissions.
- Here’s a nice reminder that there is occasionally some logic behind how streets are named. In my town, east-west streets are all named for plants.
