Dash Express service fees set
Dash Navigation has updated their website with Dash Express screen shots, specs and service fees:
The Dash service costs $9.99 per month if you pre-pay for a two-year plan, $10.99 per month if you pre-pay for a one-year plan, or $12.99 per month with a month-to-month commitment.
There is no word on whether or not a trial subscription will be included with purchase of the unit.
The Dash Express will use anonymous position information from other Dash users to provide detailed traffic information, arrival times and the best route. It also allows access to Yahoo! Local search as shown below.
The questions are, will people balk at units with service fees, will Dash be able to achieve the "critical mass" of users necessary for their network to function in most metropolitan areas, and will competitors unveil something as or more attractive before Dash even hits the market in the first quarter of 2008?
Stay tuned!

I must say, that’s pretty darn expensive, especially when you consider the relatively “cheaper” XN NavTraffic service. This concept might need a lot of time to get a foothold in the GPS market.
Yeah, I was surprised to see it so high myself. If they don’t offer a free trial, I don’t see them selling many.
