TomTom has announced the PRO series, consisting of the TomTom PRO 4000 and TomTom PRO 8000. These appear to be the TomTom XL 330-S and TomTom GO 730, with a few bonuses thrown in:
- Dedicated PRO customer service telephone line
- PIN lock to protect sensitive information
- Menu lock option that eliminates distractions and fosters safe driving
- Premium ruggedized sleeve for added durability and protection (pictured below)
- One free map update to be used within 12 months of first use
- Two-year limited product warranty
With the PRO series, TomTom continues its outreach to the business community. The higher end TomTom WORK series offers real-time GPS tracking capabilities, something not available on the PRO models.
