Longtime readers know that I'm a big fan of GPS Now, a small operation that manages to get new Garmin models in before just about anyone.
Well they've just received a shipment of the new Garmin nuvi 855 and nuvi 885T. They only got a few in this first batch, and they're going fast, so I'd suggest moving quickly if you want one.

Do not like this 855 Nuvi. I was going home and was 200 yards from my house on the street my house is on, and it wanted me to turn right onto a different street. Going to a restaurant, was on the street the restaurant was on and it wanted me to turn back and get off at the last exit. I called support and the guy said about getting to my house, maybe it was taking me an alternate route. Excuse me? I’m on my house’s street, and it wants me to turn the corner to another street? Why? Totally useless, both this Nuvi and their support.
Well, I can’t help wit the restaurant, but may be able to with the home issue. This is a common problem, when people set their home location at their house, where there may be other nearby streets. Instead, set your home location at the intersection of your driveway and your street. This often solves this problem.
