Moving GPS Tracklog, Phase II
Today I’m rolling out the second phase of our move, though for the time being the site still has the same design. Behind the scenes however, a lot of work has gone into migrating this nearly 4 year old, 1100+ post blog from Typepad to WordPress. And while I can’t say everything has gone 100% smoothly, it does appear to have come off with few hitches.
For the time being, there will be little in the way of visible changes. One improvement that you will note right away though is the inclusion of gravatars with comments. On the downside, some comments from the past couple of months did not get included in the migration. I apologize for that; for the time being anyway, those comments are still archived on the old site. And you may have problems accessing a few older posts for a day or two, but that should be worked out shortly.
More changes are ahead, but it will likely be a couple of months before I’m ready to roll them out. The next round will be much more exciting, as I take full advantage of the power of the WordPress platform. Thanks for your support and for sticking with me through all the changes.
