TomTom comes to the iPhone

A TomTom iPhone application and accessory kit was just announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Both Engadget and Gizmodo are covering the event live today, along with many others, and we’ve grabbed a few screenshots from the former to share. I’ll post more info once we have it.
UPDATE: The newest generation iPhone has a digital compass too…
I read the page on tomtom’s website. Does this mean that the car docking station will be required to use turn-by-turn driving directions, or just recommended?
