Garmin nuvi 1820 and 1860

nuvi-1800-series Looks like the nuvi 1690 won’t be the only device Garmin unveils at IFA next month. An anonymous tipster let Engadget in on quite a few company secrets regarding some upcoming models:

  • Garmin nuvi 1820 – 4.8” display, WiFi, a web browser, email access, Internet radio and video
  • Garmin nuvi 1860 – Adds a 3 MP geotagging camera to the above

The source also cites a $499.99 MSRP and late Q3 debut for the 1690, which should come with a two-year subscription for connected services. Which pretty much blows our hopes of a free subscription model, but it would still be the longest in the industry. Formal product announcements and more details are expected on September 3rd.

Head on over to Engadget for more screen shots.
