There were fewer changes in this month’s top ten list than any month I can recall. There was only one unit replaced on the list, with the nuvi 765T knocking out the 275T, although a few units did jump several places (the nuvi 775T, 885T and Colorado 300).
Things should get shaken up a bit more in the next couple of months, as several new models are expected to be announced this week and appear on store shelves before the holidays. As usual, the rankings are based on the number of times each GPS review has been read here on GPS Tracklog.

Why is there an abundance of Garmin Nuvi 255W units available all over the web ? Is there a problem with these units ? I am planning to buy a new (not refurbished) Nuvi 255W in the next couple of weeks and I don’t want to make a mistake if there is an inherant problem.
Is there any reason not to buy a refurbished unit to save money ?

Its an incredibly popular unit and I think it’s just indicative of sales volume.
I would check the warranty and return policy where you buy a refurb. On older units, the maps may be out of date, and the unit may not be eligible for Garmin’s nuMpas guarantee.. https://my.garmin.com/maps/nuMaps.htm
