At the beginning of each month, we take a look back to see which reviews were the most popular with readers of GPS Tracklog. Once again, the Garmin nuvi 1490t and Oregon 450 retained their locks on the top positions. There was very little change on the auto side – only the number 4 and 5 models swapping positions. On the handheld chart though, the Garmin Oregon 450t and GPSMAP 62st debuted, proving the popularity of preloaded maps, even though I mention free topos here frequently. Personally, I find 5″ screens a bit too big, so I’d go for the 1390 or 1690. Both good models. The 1690′s ability to do Google Local searches and show weather is very helpful.
Honestly though, I think you’d like any of them. Here’s a great deal on the 1490LMT…
