   Thanks for this incredible website. I am in the market for a new GPS and have found the enormous volume of choices to be extremely daunting. I think these companies really need to simplify their product lines. But you really helped me make my choice. I ended up with the Garmin 2350LMT.

   I am loking for a gps for area calculation, but it hasn´t been easy to find the accuracy of the equipments for the measuring, can you qive me any tips on these matter, or which will be the best gps for these activitie?

     It depends on how large of an area you are estimating. You can expect accuracy of 10-30′ with most modern consumer-grade GPS receivers while walking a line. You can also do the area calculation with mapping software, using waypoint averaging, which might give you more accurate results. The Garmin Oregon, GPSMAP 62 and Montana series all have the area calculation feature, BTW.

     Can you be a little more clear as to what you want? Does your phone have a GPS receiver? What kind of phone do you have?
