Best selling GPS for October 2012

Best selling GPS for October 2012Psst, wanna know what our readers were buying last month? Here’s your chance. The rankings below are based on the number of units sold on GPS Tracklog and our sister site, GPS Deals, through our various partners like Amazon and REI. The champs from August returned to the top of the heap this time around, with the Garmin nuvi 50LM and eTrex 20 claiming the top spots. And we must have more golfers enjoying the site now, as the Approach G6 turned up in the number four spot in the sport/handheld rankings. On to the charts…

Top selling auto GPS

  1. Garmin nuvi 50LM
  2. Garmin nuvi 1450LMT
  3. Garmin nuvi 2360LMT
  4. Garmin nuvi 2460LMT  (tie)
  5. Garmin nuvi 3590LMT  (tie)
  6. Garmin nuvi 2595LMT
  7. Garmin nuvi 1490LMT
  8. Garmin nuvi 40LM
  9. Garmin nuvi 2360LT
  10. Garmin nuvi 1390LMT  (tie)
  11. Garmin nuvi 2495LMT (tie)

Top selling sport and handheld GPS

  1. Garmin eTrex 20
  2. Garmin eTrex 10 (tie)
  3. Garmin Oregon 450 (tie)
  4. Garmin Approach G6
  5. Garmin Dakota 20 (tie)
  6. Garmin Edge 200 (tie)
  7. Garmin eTrex Venture HC (tie)
  8. Garmin Forerunner 310XT (tie)
  9. Garmin GPSMAP 62stc (tie)
  10. Garmin GTU 10 (tie)
  11. Garmin Oregon 200 (tie)
  12. Motorola MOTOACTV GPS Fitness Tracker (tie)

As is often the case, many more auto units were sold than handhelds, so I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock in things beyond the number four position on the latter chart. Those tied for fifth represent only a couple of units sold for each model.
