Endomondo App Syncs with Pebble Watches

ENDOMONDO LOGO

Endomondo, the popular social fitness network, has introduced a new smartphone app that syncs with Pebble and helps users meet their fitness goals. This free app from Endomondo allows users to start, pause or stop a workout while exercising and can display up to three configurable data metrics, such as distance traveled, heart rate and workout duration – making it one of the most advanced fitness tracking apps for Pebble.  Additionally, the app vibrates Pebble smartwatches for each mile or kilometer completed, and will briefly display a performance summary.

The app is available only for iOS users, but Android support is expected by this fall. It will sync with iPhone 4S and all iPhone 5 models, provided users have the most recent version of the free Endomondo Sports Tracker available for download at the App Store. Endomondo’s Pebble app can be downloaded from the Pebble store.

Thomas Sarlandie, Developer Evangelist at Pebble, said, “Endomondo’s Pebble app puts preferred stats right on wrists and lets users customize what’s displayed without having to reach for smartphones. Pebblers have been eager for Endomondo integration and they’re going to love the experience.”
