Garmin nuLink 1695 review

Hands on with the Garmin nuLink 1695

The Garmin nüLink! 1695 is Garmin’s second connected navigator, updating the nuvi 1690 with trafficTrends (historical road speed database) and myTrends, which allows the device to learn your preferred routes. In addition, the 1695 offers a 5” screen, whereas the nuvi 1690 sports a 4.3” screen.

LMT, nuLink and the nu Garmins

UPDATE: LM and LMT pages on GPS Tracklog:

Garmin nuLink! 1695 announced

Garmin nuLink 1695

EDIT: I’ve now posted my hands on Garmin nuLink 1695 review.

Garmin has announced the nüLink! 1695, apparently abandoning the nuvi moniker for connected devices. The 5-inch touchscreen unit will include one year of connected nuLink services out of the box, and will come equipped with the trafficTrends (historical road speed database) and myTrends features recently introduced on the nuvi 3700 series. And to top it off, Garmin is getting an app store of sorts, dubbed the nuLink! Store, for purchasing premium services, such as “real-time advanced weather with Nexrad radar and severe weather alerts, and premium safety camera alerts.”  The nuLink 1695 is expected to be available in September 2010 for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $449.99. The subscription price for nuLink services after the first year is $5.00/month.
