February is over (hallelujah!), so it’s time to check the stats and see what grabbed readers’ interest over the past month. There were only minor changes this time around, with neither of the top two spots changing on the auto or handheld top ten list. The biggest items of note are on the auto side, where we’re back to a clean sweep for the nuvi line. The largest jump on that list was the 1350T, which moved up 5 places. Combined with the list debut of the non-traffic 1350 model, that series is looking like a popular choice. As usual, rankings are based how many page views each review received.

The door is shut on January, so here’s a look back at the stats to see which were the most popular units on GPS Tracklog last month.  As usual, rankings are based how many page views each review received (unlike the holiday period where there are enough units sold to actually rank sales).

After not even showing up in our December bestseller list, the nuvi 1490T came roaring back, claiming the number one auto spot. On the handheld side, an old standby, the Garmin 60CSx moved back into the top spot, followed by a relative newcomer, the Dakota 20 (which I absolutely love, BTW).

Just like last month, my top ten list comes with a twist this time around. This monthly feature usually ranks units according to the most popular reviews here on GPS Tracklog. But during the holidays, there are enough sales made here and on our GPS Deals site, through partners like Amazon, that we can rank actual units sold.

I’ll repeat last month’s caveats; my list is affected by several factors – sales and promotions on specific units, which of my reviews rank better on search engines, how positive (or not) I was about a particular unit, previous top ten lists, and probably a few other factors. Nevertheless, our rankings often track industry trends pretty well, and it’s interesting to look anyway, so see what you think. One other note – handheld unit sales lag way behind auto, so by the time I got to the bottom of the handheld list, I was dealing with eight receivers that only sold a couple units each, hence the long list of items tied at the end!
