Polar Electro, a company that focuses on manufacturing sports training computers, recently unveiled a new GPS-enabled running watch called the Polar M200. The Polar M200 is currently available for purchase in the United States at $149.95, as well as a few other countries, and will be available globally toward the beginning of 2017.
The concept behind the Polar M200 was an easy-to-use fitness device that still boasted the latest technology. Polar wanted this watch to be good for new runners, but appealing to those who are advanced as well.
Here are the most impressive specs and features:
- Waterproof
- 6 hours of battery life when using GPS training, 6 days with just activity tracking
- Vibrating smart notifications when hooked up to a compatible phone
- Wrist-based heart rate technology
- Polar Running Program – creates a custom training program
- Polar Flow – free fitness web service
The integrated GPS technology included in the Polar M200 opens the door to many impressive features. Pace, route, and distance are tracked and recorded, then stored in Polar Flow. Polar Flow is free, and helps users track their activities (and even sleeping patters) as well as watch other athlete’s training strategies with a “relive” feature. None of this would be possible without the GPS technology.
The Polar M200 is available in charcoal black and bright red. There are changeable wristbands available for purchase at $19.95 in charcoal black, bright red, fresh blue, mellow yellow, and white. You can view the full list of specs on Polar’s website.
