Magellan news roundup – Angler series, Switch hits the market, Active website

It’s a busy Monday for Magellan, which has several bits of news for you fishermen and fitness types:

Magellan eXplorist Angler editions

First up is the announcement of two eXplorist units bundled with Fishing Hots Spots maps:

  • Magellan eXplorist 310 Angler Edition – Includes a credit for downloads of three lakes
  • Magellan eXplorist 510 Pro Angler Edition – Includes a microSD card with the full set of about 4,000 US lakes
These new bundles are expected to hit the market this August. Here’s the news release.

Magellan Switch series hits the market

The Magellan Switch and Switch Up fitness devices have hit the market (Amazon links). I hope to have a review up soon, although it probably won’t be as exhaustive as this one. UPDATE: Here is my Magellan Switch series review.

Magellan Active website

Finally, what would a fitness watch be without a companion website? To go along with the Switch series, the company has announced their Magellan Active website (screenshot below). More info here.
