If you’re a fan of handheld GPS devices, then this might just be your lucky week. After the recent announcement of Garmin’s new eTrex devices, GPS City has been reducing price like crazy on their old eTrex devices. And, just for good measure, also has discounted the extremely popular Oregon 650 which is still one of the better handheld GPS devices on the market.
Here are some of the deals:
- Garmin Oregon 650 – $329.95 (reg. $479.99)
- Garmin eTrex 10 (refurbished) – $74.95 (reg. $94.99)
- Garmin eTrex 20 (refurbished) – $134.95 (reg. $199.99)
- Garmin eTrex 20 (refurbished) – $214.95 (reg. $299.99)
These deals will be good until May 30, 2015.
Additionally, GPS City is currently taking preorders for the new Garmin eTrex lines which were introduced last week. These devices are a slight improvement over the older devices above and all come with full color screens and a rugged design as well as more advanced satellite-locking capabilities and, in the case of the 30x, the ability to share tracks and waypoints wirelessly with other devices. Read more about them here.
The eTrex x devices should be available around June 3. The eTrex 20x will retail for $199.99 while the slightly more advanced 30x will cost $299.99. Looking at those prices, the reductions in price for the older devices are both unsurprising and uninspiring. Still, those old devices share many features with the newer ones and are still great units.
