TomTom Debuts New TomTom Rider Devices in Europe

Dutch GPS and mapping company TomTom debuted a new set of TomTom RIDER sat navs for the European market yesterday. The new devices, which are available in the UK now, are an updated version of the popular TomTom RIDER line which was first debuted in 2013.

The TomTom RIDER series is designed specifically with motorcyclists in mind and boasts a range of features specifically to make the motorcyclists’ ride even more enjoyable than otherwise with curated routes and other features. Unfortunately, at the time of writing there is no information on when the device will be available in North American markets.

TomTom RIDER 450The new devices include the ToomTom RIDER 42, 420, and 450. All three devices feature many of the same features from previous models along with a few new features such as:

  • Lifetime world map updates
  • Live traffic updates
  • Speed camera alerts
  • Waterproof rating
  • Bluetooth hands-free calling and route sharing
  • Touch-sensitive screen designed to be used with light and heavy gloves
  • 150 pre-installed routes filled with hills and curves for the most enjoyment
  • Preloaded biker-friendly points of interest including meeting points, restaurants, hotels, and biker museums

The TomTom RIDER sat navs are available now through the TomTom website and in select consumer electronics and specialty stores. The TomTom RIDER devices, including the TomTom RIDER 450 Premium Pack, will range from €349 – €499.
