Garmin Forerunner 310XT review

Garmin-Forerunner-310XT-review

UPDATE: An improved version, the Garmin Forerunner 910XT, has been released.

The Garmin Forerunner 310XT is the first and only GPS designed exclusively for triathletes. It is waterproof (to 50 meters!) and can go for up to 20 hours on one charge. Targeted to multi-sport athletes, the 310XT can categorize the activities in your workout and log transition times.

The 310XT can use audible signals and/or vibration alerts, to ensure that you are aware of your milestones.

It can be purchased by itself or with a waterproof, soft-strap heart rate monitor. While it can’t transmit heart-rate data underwater, the strap can be worn under a wetsuit to shave down transition time.

Like the Forerunner 405 and 405CX models, the 310XT sports a wireless connection, using ANT+Sport technology, to send data to your computer. No more cables!
