Greetings from GPS Tracklog’s New Writer

Liz Writer

As most of you probably know from reading Rich’s goodbye and Matt’s greeting article, GPS Tracklog is under new management. My name is Liz, and I am the new writer for the blog, so I just thought I’d take second and introduce myself.

I am from a tiny town in Missouri, named Cabool, and currently live in Springfield, Mo. I love technology and, while I don’t know nearly as much as Rich about GPS, I have really enjoyed writing and learning more about it over the last couple of weeks. I currently use my phone for navigation, as I don’t have a good GPS yet, but I really enjoy using automotive GPS devices for navigation—they are far superior in a lot of ways—and it’s pretty high on my list of things to upgrade soon. I don’t have much experience with handheld GPS devices, but I’m excited to get the chance to try it out and learn more.

As for a non-GPS related info about me, I am a huge nerd and I enjoy movies and going swimming. I have a major in journalism, a minor in Spanish, two cats and an intense love of coffee and the great outdoors.

I really look forward to continuing this fantastic blog and hope that we can make it even better for you! We have brought back the GPS Week in Review articles as of last Friday, so be expecting that roundup again ever Friday evening. If you ever have any comments or suggestions about the blog or topics you’d like to see, drop me a line! I would love to hear from you. Thanks for sticking with us, and here’s to many good years to come!

-Liz
