Magellan has found a corner of the auto market they can dominate – at least until someone else introduces a 7” model. Having had significant success with the RoadMate 1700, a RoadMate 9020 has shown up on their site, adding lifetime traffic to the 1700’s feature set.

The specs say “millions of POI” but how many millions? Also did they stop the bell before the turns. I didn’t see it listed.
Yeah, I hate it when they don’t list the actual number of POIs. It often means less than the full 6 million we expect for the US & Canada. I think all Magellans have the chime at the turn.
You can switch the turn warning off.
I have yet to find one GPS (apart from the LG old model I have)which:
1. Saves ALL the locations in favorites alphabetically,
2. Once you have plotted a destination will tell you the ACTUAL name of the street you are travelling (the LG does it) as if one is lost and calls someone, the first question they ask is WHICH street are you travelling on???
Rgds.
I don’t recall which if any brands do # 1.
Garmin and TomTom both have safety features that provide info like the nearest intersection, etc.
