TomTom XL 335S

TomTom-XL-335S-review
UPDATE: This model has been discontinued. For a list of current TomTom models and their features, please see our TomTom comparison chart.

The TomTom XL 335S offers a strong feature set for a reasonable price. You get a 4.3” screen, preloaded maps of the US & Canada, seven million points of interest (POIs) and text-to-speech, so you’ll hear “turn right, Oak Street,” instead of just “turn right.”

Additionally, you’ll get IQ Routes technology, which calculates the fastest route using historical traffic speed data for both the day of the week and time of day. Also notably, the 335 series’ Advanced Lane Guidance feature provides a visual representation of highway junctions, along with lane-specific directions.

  • The XL 335TM goes even farther, adding lifetime map updates to the 335T’s feature set
  • Going the other direction, the TomTom XL 335SE offers less options with its simplified Easy Menu interface
