Compare the Package includes statement of the 550 and 450. With the 450 you also don’t get:
    AC Charger $20.00
    Car suction cup mount $98.00
    Vehicle power cable $28.00
    Custom caps $18.00
    Garmin stickers $2.75
    Dashboard Disk $9.00
Map Source City Navigator NT DVD $139.27
    Total $315.02

  2. Good point. BTW, City Navigator NT is pre-loaded, and I bet you could get a free disk if you ask. I understand that they are giving them to nuvi owners that request them.

  3. hautedawg says:

Garmin is getting sticky about free disks. Too many people asking for free disks that are not customers, and you now have to register your unit to get the free disk. This only makes sense, as they do have to pay shipping, and I see these for sale on eBay all the time for up to $30 from the thieves that steal the GPS from your truck and car anyway!

  4. That certainly seems fair (what Garmin is doing; not the thieves!).
