Garmin intros HomePort marine planning app

Garmin-HomePort-1 Garmin has announced a new marine planning software desktop application dubbed HomePort. After the introduction of this and BaseCamp, perhaps we’ll see a new auto trip planner in the near future. Click here for the full news release.

  1. They’ve already shown us the car version. Its called RoadTrip and currently only available on the Mac.

    Ah, shows how plugged in I am to the Mac world (not!). I wonder if we’ll see one on the PC side or if we’re stuck with MapSource. Seems like they are slowly moving away from that product. I also wonder if BaseCamp and HomePort are built on the same platform.
