DeLorme inReach for $174.95 after $75 rebate

REI.com and GPS City both have the DeLorme inReach Two Way Satellite Communicator for Smartphones available for $174.95 after a $75 mail-in rebate, which is $25 less than we’ve ever seen. Here are the links:

Be sure to read the rebate coupons for all the details, but here’s the basics:

Limited-time offer effective 10/24/12 through 12/31/12. Requests must be postmarked by 1/31/13. Purchase an inReach for iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch® and Android devices or inReach for Earthmate PN-60w. The inReach must be activated by 12/31/12 to receive the rebate.

Also note that since this is a full retail purchase, REI members should get an extra 10% back in their annual dividend.

The DeLorme inReach for Android pairs with compatible phones to offer two-way texting without cell service, as well as two-way SOS, tracking and positing to Facebook and Twitter. The device can also be used in standalone mode. A model that pairs with the DeLorme PN-60w is also offered.
