Cyber Week is half over, so I hope most of you have finished all of the electronics shopping. Just as a reminder, Garmin’s cyber deals are going to end today at 11:59 p.m. CST so if you wanted to purchase something on sale, this is the time!
The deal that really caught my attention was the Nuvi Lifetime Map subscription for $40 (normally priced at $90). If you purchased an older unit that doesn’t have lifetime maps, this is an excellent deal that will easily triple the life of your existing unit. I highly recommend it.

Well, Cyber Monday is finally here, and the sales are still going strong. A lot of these units are limited stock, so if you’re in the market, there are some pretty sweet savings to be had. While Black Friday is one of the best times to purchase otherwise expensive electronics like GPS units, I normally can’t stand the rush and the crowds. Even with the phoenominal sales, it usually just isn’t worth the insane rush and the rude people.

Independence Day is tomorrow and, like with all American holidays, that means that retailers around the nation will have sales on items. We did a little bit of searching and found a few deals on GPS devices this weekend. read more
GPS of any kind can be terribly expensive, but this Sunday Aldi will be offering their multi-sport GPS watch for a bargain. Priced at £65, this watch, unfortunately, appears to only be offered in the UK and has several impressive features for the price. The creatively named Unisex GPS Watch has five different training modes for running, hiking, cycling, sailing and a blank mode for users to create their own. The watch offers GPS navigation with waypoints, distance and speed measurement as well as a compass, an altimeter and the ability to track pace and time goals. The watch comes with a chest strap to measure heart rate, a bike mount, a USB data transfer cable and some software to help evaluate data. It’s water resistant and comes in three colors with a free three year warranty and a 60 day return policy–I’m not sure what else you could ask for that price.
This isn’t Aldi’s first trek into the world of GPS watches, so hopefully it will be available in other countries soon! If you want it, though, you’ll have to get there early.

In one of the best handheld deals going, GPS City has the Garmin GPSMAP 62s for $199.95, with free shipping to boot. GPS City is a long-time customer favorite and this is a great deal on a very popular model. read more
