UPDATE: I’ve added a response from Magellan.

The Magellan RoadMate 5175T-LM is a new unit from Magellan, whose most notable feature is WiFi, so I’ll focus on that in my review. It has a 5” screen with accelerometer, allowing you to use it in landscape or portrait orientation. And as the T-LM implies, it comes with traffic and lifetime map updates.

If Garmin won’t follow up on the success of their WiFi-enabled nuvi 295W, Magellan certainly will. That’s right, the new Magellan RoadMate 5175T-LM offers WiFi and a Web browser. Besides that, you’ll get the ability to switch between portrait and landscape modes, a 5” screen, lifetime map updates and traffic, and a new feature called Tour Director. The latter presumes to know how long the kids will want to stay at Disneyland! MSRP is $299.99; we don’t have any word on availability but we’re betting it will be hitting store shelves soon.
