Garmin has discontinued much of their popular nuvi 1xxx line ahead of the holidays. Introduced in March 2009, these units were getting quite dated. All 5″ models survived the cut except for the 1490T. Similarly, all LMT units survived save the 1300LMT. Their strategy here appears to be keeping the top sellers in the 1xxx line available.
While the company will likely continue to support these with firmware updates for years to come, it’s still good to know when you’re buying something that’s been discontinued. Here’s the full list:
