Garmin nuvi feature descriptions
- Live traffic – It may not be quite ready for prime time, but it is improving, especially for models with HD traffic. Even so, you can expect lots of inaccurate reports as well as incidents that aren’t reported. Most pre-2013 Garmin nuvis with a T following the model number have ad-supported traffic (see reviews for screenshots). HD models and 2013 T models are ad-free.
- Bluetooth for hands-free cell phone use – Generally speaking, the sound quality has gotten much better on recent models, but check the reviews (the first column links to these) as it does vary.
- Powered mount – The power cord plugs into the mount, rather than the GPS. That’s one less connection to fuss with when you want to use your navigator. I’m a big fan of these, especially when combined with a friction mount.
- Multi-point (multi-destination) routing – A very nice feature, but not a critical one. If the chart says “no,” you can only enter one destination and one or two via points. This isn’t a big problem since you can easily find locations under Favorites or Recently Found.
- Lifetime map updates – Garmin has started selling units bundled with lifetime map updates, which you can typically download quarterly. Newer models with these have an LM or LMT (the latter includes lifetime traffic) tacked onto the end of the model number.
- Lane assist – Shows which lane you need to be in for Interstate exits and some surface streets in larger metros. An improved version, active lane guidance, was introduced on the 2013 Advanced and Prestige series.
- Voice commands – A killer feature and it actually works pretty well on most models.
Return to Garmin nuvi comparison chart
Thanks for this great comprehensive comparison. We have a really old Nuvi 350 that I use in my vehicle occasionally (I don’t travel much), and hubster has a 755T. Need to upgrade maps on 755T and, of course, it’s almost as much to upgrade to new maps as to purchase a new unit with Lifetime Maps. So many choices…so many models. Don’t really need bluetooth (hubby has a BlueAnt in his vehicle) or voice prompt, put really like Speed Limit indicator and street name prompts. Buy.com has the 2300LM on sale for 119. Is there a better alternative for the money? Perhaps lane assist would be helpful as well. Thanks!
Yes, lane assist is worth it. I’d look at the nuvi 40LM unless you need traffic…
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/10/garmin-nuvi-40lm-review.html
A bit disappointed with all the comparison that not one allows information on pin pointing longitude and latitude before you arrive to the destination.
IF there is such a thing or ability in a specific device, please let me know. I am best interested in having this before a purchase is made.
Thank you
What are you asking for, the lat/long of your current position? The destination? Or do you just want to be able to enter lat/long and navigate to that point?
Hi
Very nice and helpful comparrison – could you tell me which is better of these 3 – Nuvi 1300LM or Nuvi 750 or Nuvi 760?
Thanks
The 1300LM if it came down to one of those; they are all pretty old but the other two have been discontinued. You might want to check the newer 40LM.
Thanks Rich! Infact I was veering towards 40LM – I think I am getting a good deal on Amazon for $ 120 – If I open a credit card I could get $ 30 off. I personally dont like GPS for daily or local use. My wife swears by GPS. I only find it useful/helpful when I am travelling to unknown places – even then I keep printed maps/directions. I would like to know if 40LM has maps for all US and Canada as we travel very often to meet family in Canada. I am not looking to spend over $ 100 IF I can – Please let me know if would recommend any other model# or I should go with 40LM considering my need/uses listed above – Thanks!
Thanks in advance!
Sorry my bad! In Amazon the one for $ 120 is the one with 49 US states. The one with US and Canada is for $ 145. As I said I use GPS only when going to Canada – while my wife uses it locally too. could you suggest any other model#? or 40LM is good enough for our purpose
Thank you for the comparison chart. Excellent summary and very much appreciated. I am looking to know which will allow for inclusion of european maps and how do I obtain/instal/use those maps when I need to?
Thank you.
All nuvis allow you to add European maps later. If you click on the top of the Maps column, it will sort, in case you want to see which models come with them preloaded.
Thank you for the comparison chart. I am not a “techy,” and your chart has shaved at least an hour of my time looking at the different models! I truly appreciate you taking the time to do this!!!
Happy to help!
@Mujahid – You could go with the nuvi 40, instead of the 40LM, but you’d be giving up lifetime map updates. Like the 40LM, it comes in two versions, one with Canadian maps and one without.
The 1300LM doesn’t offer Canadian maps either. The 1350 or 1350LMT might be good ones to look at. They have Canadian maps and lane assist.
Hi Rick comparing garmin 2360lmt or 2495lmt to a tomtom what is the tomtom model # & where am i better off
Probably the closest feature-wise would be the TomTom VIA 1435TM or 1535TM. Which brand is typically a matter of personal preference.
Thanks Rich
is it closest to the 2360 or the 2495 , what is the advatage or disadvatage from one over the other
Is what the closest to the 2360 or 2495? If you’re asking for me to compare specific TomTom models to those from Garmin, I won’t; its like apples and oranges.
Thanks once again for the advice!
Based on it I went back to determine what I needed in my GPS which I have listed below the features I would want in the order of preferences:
1.US-Canada Maps – Can you chose one without Canadian Maps and add it later on?
2.Lifetime Maps – What if this feature is not there – Does one have to pay later to get updated Maps?
3.Lane Assist
4.Blue Tooth
5.Traffic – I am not sure if having Traffic update is an important feature or not – is it effective and helpful?
6.Powered Mount – how important is this? And what are the pros and cons to this feature?
Not sure if Screen Size should be a factor but would love to have 5.0” with the features I want without spending too much $$$
Based on my needs I short listed the following GPS:
40LM (4.3”) – the one with US & Canada maps – $ 145 – does not have option# 4 ,5 & 6
1350LMT (4.3”) – $ 117 – does not have feature# 4 & 6
1390LMT(4.3”) – $ 140 – does not have feature # 6
1450LM (5.0”) – $ 130 – does not have feature # 4,5 & 6
1450LMT (5.0”) – $ 130 – does not have feature # 4 & 6
1490LMT (5.0”) – $ 165 – does not have feature # 6
2350LMT (4.3”) – $ 126 – does not have feature # 4
Give me some advice based on reviews and your experience which is the best buy
Thanks
If you want to update the maps later, yes, you would need to pay unless you get lifetime maps. Re: traffic and powered mount…
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/11/auto-gps-features-worth-paying-for.html
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/11/auto-gps-features-you-dont-need.html
Thanks Rich – superb links you gave – helped me a lot. I have narrowed it down to 3 – 1390LMT, 1450LMT & 1490LMT. In this also I would prefer to go for 5.0″ size so 1390LMT is 3rd in the choice. So now betweeen 1450LMT ($ 130) and $ 1490LMT ($ 165) I have to decide whether the $ 35 additional justfies the Blue Tooth feature. Could you tell me between the 2 (1450LMT v/s 1490LMT) which has better reviews and lesser problems? I have decided against the powered mount option as I dont find it so important to me.
I’d go for the 1450. I wasn’t that impressed with Bluetooth sound quality on the 1490. Otherwise I doubt that you’ll find much difference between them in terms of reviews/problems.
Thanks Rich for letting me know that sound quality of the bluetooth of 1490 is not so great. Could you advise me if the choice was between 1390LMT v/s 1450LMT – which one is better? Considering if I go with 1390LMT I get Bluetooth but lose the 5.0″ size. Price wise I am ok with $ 10 difference. The reason for switching over to 4.3 size is that I am not sure if 5.0″ will not be too big for a portable GPS.. comments?
thanks Rich. is it worth to give up the power mount on the 2360 to get the newer model of 2495? how important is the voice commend?
I’m using voice command more and more, and really like it. It is more important for folks who spend a lot of time solo in the car, and critical if you’re tempted to enter info while driving!
Yes, I would give up the powered mount on the 2360 for the new features on the 2495.
Thanks Rich. can you please list me the new featurs of the 2495 as i don’t see them on the comparison chart
They’re covered in the review under “Nu features”…
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/10/garmin-nuvi-2495lmt-review.html
thanks is it worth $70 more $229 vs.$159
I can’t make that call for you. For me yes, but I’m an early adotper and like the bells and whistles.
Looking to update a GPS as a gift. My initial thought is to get one with all the bells & whistles listed across the headings of your comparison chart. So that left the nuvi 3790 LMT, the 2360 LMT, & the 3490 LMT. The 3490 is pricey for me. So between the first two, which would you recommend? Should I consider a different model, and if so, why? Are the two I’m considering newer models? Thanks!
I’d suggest looking at the 2495LMT or 2595LMT, which are both newer than the 2360 and 3790.
What is the advantage of, or do you have a preference between the 2455LMT and the 1450LMT?
The 2455LMT is smaller (4.3″ vs. 5″) but is two generations newer quite a few added features. I’d go for the newer one.
@Mujahid – I’d go for the 1450 over the 1390, to get a 5″ screen rather than inferior Bluetooth. And no, I don’t find the 5″ models too big.
Thanks for your response Rich! Could you tell me between 1450LMT and 2350LMT which is better? If I go with 2350LMT ($ 10 more) I get the powered mount but lose the 5.0″ size.
Both are good units. I’d probably take the powered mount over the 5″ screen.
As per the reviews on Amazon both these units have Advertisement Sponsored Traffic updates which keep popping up on the screen – am I right on this? In one of the cases (I think 1450) the reviewer posted ” trafic information turned on but disable traffic in the avoidances setting tab “. So can this be done in 2350 too? I know this could be a BIG distraction to my wife who will be the primary user of this.
Between the 2 which is a NEWER model and which BETTER GRAPHICS
Sorry 1 more Q – betweeen the 2 which is THINNER/SLEEKER
Re: getting rid of ads:
http://gpstracklog.com/2012/03/how-to-get-ad-free-traffic-on-your-garmin-nuvi.html
They are both the same thickness, but the 1450 has a 5″ screen, so it is significantly bigger in the other directions.
This list is great! Tried making a similar comp list twice & scrapped them both. It is tough to go out & get specific specs on any given model since a site may not provide all the details. I like my Garmin 1490T although I paid way too much new in 2009 ($519.90 with accessories) & an extra $100 for LT Maps. Also, it became intermittent shortly after buying & again now in Mar 2012. Think the powered mount would have helped prevent the strain on the unit & loosening of the interior board circuitry. Cost of Repair/S&H now is better spent on new purchase. Although I may not need all features, am looking @ 2460LMT or 3790LMT. I like the 5″ screen so would consider the older model to avoid need for glasses or only placing much closer vs on the dash. Placing unit lower/closer is not as secure & is dangerous since it forces you to take eyes off road. Hope the FM Traffic & Bluetooth work better than some of these blogs indicate. Also hope BT works with iPhone 4S & not just Android phones. Garmin makes things far too difficult: make fewer models w/more features at the best possible price. Thanks for saving me a bunch of time sorting/making decision.
Re: Europe Maps – none of the models listed have Lifetime Maps & is therefore not good. It’s one of those features that I would seldom need but is more expensive as an add-on or to buy an update, when needed.
Hi. We rented a nuvi several years ago while renting a car. It had all the bells and whistles. It was our first experience with a gps. The one we had showed stores and businesses along the roads and interstates and put their names on the screen. We bought a nuvi when we got home but it doesn’t do that. We are now looking at buying a new nuvi because we need to update the maps and we feel that it would be better to just buy a new one. Can you tell us what that is called–the stores and businesses named on the screen–and which nuvi would have that, lane assist, and lifetime maps? Thanks.
The newer models feature this (points of interest, AKA POI display). The nuvi 2xx5 and 34xx series will show logos on the screen for some businesses and show types of businesses for others, but they will not show the name unless you tap the icon. Any nuvi in those product lines with an LM in the name will have lifetime maps and lane assist. The cheapest with those features would probably be the nuvi 2455LMT…
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/10/garmin-nuvi-2455lmt-review.html
These screen shots show the POI icons:

http://gpstracklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Nuvi-2495lmt-portrait_thumb.jpg
The 3/19/2012 Response shows info for Screen Shots. Is the second link, “portrait”, showing a Split Screen or is that two different screens?
There are two screenshots shown in
http://gpstracklog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Nuvi-2495lmt-portrait_thumb.jpg
The one on the left shows a split screen junction view while in portrait orientation.
I have a 2595LMT. It finds my Cell phone but I seem to have difficulty in getting to use it in Bluetooth mode. Also, does the 2595LMT when you enter an store to find also provide the phone number? My older Nuvi provided thephone number.
Every time I turn the Nuvi back on, it seems the Bluetooth is not active as I seem to have to do the linking procedure each time. This does not make sense.
Mine connects automatically with my Galaxy Nexus, so it may be a phone issue. Are you leaving Bluetooth enabled on both devices?
And yes, it provides phone numbers for POIs. You need to tap the “i” for information.
Got the nuvi 2595LMT to link up with my phone today–thanks. However, it did not seem to find the phone directory that I have on my cell phone. should it find this directory of saved numbers each time? Thanks for all the help!!!!
I think it depends on your phone. On my Galaxy Nexus, when it connects it asks for access to contacts and call history, and gives me the option to always enable this. It takes a couple of minutes for it to show up though.
You might want to download and run http://garmin.com/webupdater several times to make sure you have the latest nuvi firmware and see if any Bluetooth updates show up.
new to gps. uncomfortable driving the beltway. what is the best between nuvi 1450lmt, 1390lmt and 2595lmt and why. too many having a hard time deciding.
Best, as in all the bells and whistles – the 2595LMT, which includes voice command, exit services, excellent Bluetooth sound quality, and a lot of customization options.
In Bluetooth mode, should the Nuvi 2595LMT find my cell phone address book and have it available for me to use? So far, i have not been able to make this happen. Thanks Steve

How do you find the Production Date of a unit to decide which is newer model?
http://gpstracklog.com/2010/05/dissecting-the-garmin-nuvi-series.html
Can you list the manufacture date of models?
Rich – One Q I had was on Lane Assist – Junction View –
Do both of these show at the same time or one can view only 1 of them. In your Pros for 1450LMT you wrote ‘Lane Assist with junction view’ in the same point. But in your Pros for 2350LMT you wrote this as 2 seperate points – ‘Lane Assist’ and ‘Junction View’ So incase of 1450 is to together and for 2350 is it separate?
Also in case of ‘Speed Limit Display’ – For 1450 you wrote ‘Visually warns when speeding’ – does the 2350 not do the same?
They behave the same. On either model you may see lane assist without junction view, because not all junctions have the latter.
The speed limit turns red on all of them when you exceed the limit.
You state that the 50LM includes 48 states only …without Canada…I’m buying in Montreal and it has Canada and U.S.
Thank You
Right. The ones I linked to at Amazon are 48 states only. There is also a US+Canada version. Guess I need an asterisk or something.
Adding a column for memory size might be helpful. For reference (above the chart) memory needed for current US, Canada, and Mexico maps plus typical JCV file size might also be helpful, although these are likely to grow a bit over time.
Yes, but space is limited and Garmin doesn’t publish this info. This should help though…
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/33586?page=1
Hi I was looking at the info on the 2595LMT does it show your elevation thank you
Yes, but you’ll need to set one of the data fields to display it. Also be aware that GPS-derived elevation is generally much less accurate than it is for lat/long.
hi Rich is there any adtvantage on the garmin 3750 vs. 2495?
No, except for the fact that it is thinner. But the 2495 has a better feature set. Also, the newer 3490 is a better comparison for the 2495…
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/11/garmin-nuvi-3490lmt-review.html
Based on all the negative comments about the traffic option (constant ads) I would prefer a nuvi with just the lm suffix and that greatly limits the choices. It doesn’t appear that neither the 2350 or the 2455 series is available with the map but without the traffic option. Of those available which do you recommend. Thanks.
There are some other options to get rid of ads if you want traffic…
http://gpstracklog.com/2012/03/how-to-get-ad-free-traffic-on-your-garmin-nuvi.html
Note that you can buy any traffic unit and disable traffic and ads.
Other options include the 50LM, 1300LM, 1450LM, 2300LM, 2450LM 3450LM, and the 3550LM. Of those, I think I would look at (in increasing order of price) the 50LM, 2450LM, 3450LM or 3550LM.
The comparison chart is a great source of information.
Something that would be a nice modification would be to have the comparison info scroll under the headings.
The way it is now the headings go off the screen when you look at info on units further down the list.
Got code? Seriously, it’s a good idea. I’ll put it on my site improvement list. No promises and it probably won’t happen soon, but I like it and that definitely increases the chances of it happening! I’m wondering if it would conflict with the clickable/sortable headers.
Just had my nuvi 765T stolen. One of my fav features was the ability to play mp3 audiobooks. Best replacement suggestions please.
According to Garmin support, the 24×5, 25×5, 34xx and 35xx series are the current models that have the Audible book player (link). Personally, I’d suggest the 2495LMT or 2595LMT.
Hi Rich, this information looks very helpful but I am still confused with which GPS to buy ?
Any suggestions? Or in another words which one these is your favorite ?
We are just now done with our old school tv shape garmin.:D
At this point I like the 3590LMT best unless you’re interested in Bluetooth, then I’d go for the 2595LMT. Both are high-end units though.
I have the 750, and i have loved it, but it has fianally stopped working. My favorite feature is the “routes” feature. I can plan up to 10 different trips in advance. The last two I purchased, for my family, didnt have this. When I read the description of the new ones, none of them mention this feature. Is there a new name for this feature? To ensure I have this on my new one, what term should I be looking for.
Thanks
It’s shown on the chart as multi-point routing. On the newer Garmin nuvis, it’s called Trip Planner.
I am trying to decide between the Garmin 2495 LMT and the Garmin 2360 LMT. I have heard that the 2495 is a newer model of basically the same thing. Is that true? Are there any improvements worth noting on the 2495 in that case? Because the 2360 has the benefit of powered mount…
It actually has quite a few new features, which are covered early on in my review,…
http://gpstracklog.com/2011/10/garmin-nuvi-2495lmt-review.html
The best, IMHO, are Exit Services and the customizable Where To screen.
The Nuvi 40 and 50 have Canada maps as well as the lower 48 states.
There are two editions, one that is 48 states and one that is 50 states + Canada. Thanks for the nudge though; I’ll figure out how to change the chart to reflect that.
The tables repeat on this web page (Meaning there are two tables with the same information)
Thanks. I had no idea. A change was made to a template recently; I’ve reached out to the theme developer for a fix.
I purchased the lifetime maps for my 4yr old nuvi 670 last year, and paid a pretty penny… Now my unit touch screen doesn’t work. So i am looking to upgrade. Will i need another lifetime maps or will my subscription continue to work on a new nuvi?
great job BTW, i dunno why they just cant come up with 1 or 2 models with addon features. I’m sure whatever I get will be discontinued soon too.
Larry, if the unit touch screen, is the only thing that doesn’t work.on your 4yr old nuvi 670, have you looked into the cost effectiveness of buying a replacement touch screen and following a youTube procedure for replacing it?
http://www.youtube.com/user/terrorizingtheturbin
If it is just the Digitiser, rather than the LCD Screen itself, the price on eBay Hong Kong is about $5.20 to $6.30
LCD Screen Display + Touch For Garmin Nuvi 680 670 660 650 is about $27-$29.37
Here is a company that supplies the Screen and does the repair:-
http://www.sharc.net/gps_LCD_repair.htm
No, lifetime maps are locked to a single unit.
Hi,
Do you think that the GARMIN NUVI 1440EU is a good model to have for Europe?
It’s not the most recent model but yes, it should be fine.
I just read a 2010 review that stated that advertisements pop up during driving to obscure the map frequently. Does this still happen? Does it happen on LM or LMT models? Thanks.
I don’t find that they obscure the map much and they rarely show up while moving. Most LMT models have ads. LM models don’t. More info here: http://gpstracklog.com/2012/03/how-to-get-ad-free-traffic-on-your-garmin-nuvi.html
Hi,
thanks a lot for the chart, is very helpfull!
I need to buy a GPS (a cheap one) and probably will go with 1300LM, but I don’t understand what does it mean that it has “option” for traffic.
Can you help me?
Thanks.
It means that you can buy a traffic receiver/power cord as an additional purchase that will give you live traffic info. Unless that is important to you, I’d suggest looking at the nuvi 40LM instead of the 1300LM. The 40LM adds speed limit display, lane assist and junction view.
I purchased a nuvi50LM and the battery went low. I have tried to charge the battery using different methods and affter one hour, battery show low.
Is there something wrong with this unit. I have tried USB to coomputer, USB to AC converter and Car cig. lighter.
Usually people leave it connected to the car charger. The battery life is rated as up to two hours.
First is can you tell me what GPS you think is better, 2460LMT, or the 3790LMT, also should I stay away from refurbished?
Here’s what Garmin says about refurbs:
“A newly overhauled (NOH) device is a device that was returned to Garmin to be factory refurbished. Newly overhauled devices go through extensive testing to bring the units up to the same specifications as when they were manufactured as new, maintaining high quality standards. Newly overhauled devices will still have a one year manufacturer’s warranty when purchased from a Garmin dealer.”
Between those two, I’d probably go for the 2460LMT, although if you don’t mind giving up the powered mount, I like the 2595LMT even better.
I have been using a Garmin 660. Unfortunately, I recently crushed it moving the electric seat 🙁 Therefore, I am hunting for a replacement but have only been able to go hands on with a 13xx series demo unit and found one issue that really bugs me. On the 660, if is was in normal map mode while driving, if I touched the screen it would go into pan mode where I could use my finger to drag the screen in any direction and get an idea of what was around me/just off screen. It allowed me to do this at the same zoom level so I could read the street names (which zooming out doesn’t allow). I tried entering that mode with the newer unit and I was not able to drag the screen around. When I touched the screen, it would bring up the address or POI under my finger but would not let me move the map. If I touched a point toward the edge of the screen, it would recenter the map based on that point but that is not the same as dragging and that relatively huge box blocked a lot of the map. I could not find any setting to change to allow dragging. I tried finger swiping. Am I missing something or is this not possible anymore?
Another issue is that the POI opens a white box on the screen that is relatively huge and covers a lot of the map. Can that box be turned off or made smaller?
I don’t see an entry in the chart telling whether units have an SD card slot. Do any current units include an SD card slot? That was a great way to bring along music and podcasts.
Thanks!
Doug
If you long tap the map screen it will go into browsing mode and you can pan the map. You can’t disable the large POI balloon feature. They went with a smaller POI balloon in the next generation models, the 2xx0 series. All models have an SD slot but they have stopped putting MP3 players in them. There are no current models with an MP3 player.
Hi Rich, do you know if it is possible to get a Garmin Sat Nav in the UK that doesn’t feature traffic ads? I have tried checking out the 3490LMT, but it doesn’t seem to offer the same ad-free HD Traffic that it does in the US. There is also no mention on Garmin’s UK site, whether or not their Premium Traffic add-ons feature adverts, like they state do not on the US site.
Thanks,
J Green
Here’s a post I did on the subject, with the three ways to do it…

I’ve heard of some problems with the Smartphone Link app in the UK, so that may be out, but this appears to be a premium traffic subscription. I’d call for verification that it is ad-free though…

Ah, reading closer I see that you probably know about that. Sorry; like I say, I’d give them a call.
Thanks, especially for posting on this date 🙂
🙂
I am looking for a mid-range gps to replace one that stopped working. (It sat overnight in pickle juice). Do you think the 1490lmt is a good bet?
Yes, it is a couple generations old, but is a very popular model.
Thanks, Rich. Is there a better choice for that mid-$100s price range?
Thanks, Rich. Is there a better choice for that mid-$100s price range and why?
Probably not. To get something better or more recent with a similar feature set, I think you’d be closer to $200.
Hi Rich, I am looking at 3 models. 1450LM, 2595LMT, and 2450LM. Which one in your opinion is more feature rich, and which one displays elevation more easily? Thanks for your help……..Rich L.
They will all display elevation, although you’ll likely want to use one of the settings that gives you additional data fields so you don’t lose other info. I would go with the 2595LMT, which has some nice new features not found on the previous models.
Thanks Rich, then I will concentrate on the 2595LMT. I appreciate your help………………..Rich
Hello Rich,
I saw your reply to the person about purchashing a “REFURB”, and that was a positive answer. Is there a specific GARMIN refurb place that is GARMIN authorized, so I know it is a legit refurb? Thanks again…………….Rich
I *think* they are all listed here…

Have a 255W, great machine with all the features I need and it has a NA and a Europe chip.Has worked fine but now will not load. Any suggestions? to fix or replace.
Will it go into mass storage mode? Have you tried a firmware update? And maybe a hard reset (back up your favorites first, if possible) – link. You could call Garmin if those things don’t work. But definitely I’d say replace rather than fix. i think you’d like some of the new features found on more recent models.
I have an older Nuvi 500 that got dropped and stopped picking up the sats. I like the unit and was thinking about getting it fixed. $100 for repair and new maps. Is this a good deal or should I look at getting a newer model?
Are you using it for hiking or geocaching? If so, that’s probably the best deal. Otherwise, I’d consider something like the nuvi 40LM.
