UPDATE: There is now a 5″ version of this model, the nuvi 3590LMT.

The Garmin nüvi 3490LMT (despite the lower model number) updates the 3790LMT with a host of new customization options, Exit Services and ad-free HD traffic. And just like with the previous version, you get all this in a super-thin package sporting a 4.3” multi-touch capacitive glass touchscreen.

One of the more significant refreshes in recent years, the Advanced series adds several new customization options, improved search functionality and Exit Services. All models in the Advanced series come with preloaded maps of the US, Canada and Mexico. The 2555LT offers all this along with an extra-wide 5” screen and lifetime traffic.

Garmin nuvi 30

The Garmin nüvi 30 is the only 3.5” navigator in Garmin’s new 2012 Essential series. The models in this series are meant to be basic navigators at a budget price, lower than what we’ve previously seen for Garmin entry-level models. And even though this is the entry-level model in a basic series, it comes with features not previously found on low-end nuvis, such as speed limit display, lane assist and junction view (shown above).

The Garmin nuvi 465LMT adds lifetime map updates to the company’s first GPS designed for long-haul navigation and delivery trucks. The 465LMT supports multiple truck profiles, selecting routes based upon restrictions such as height, width, length, weight and hazardous materials. Truckers can enter their truck’s dimensions and load restrictions, with the nuvi adjusting many routes based on the customized truck profile and available map data.
