New TomTom RIDER for motorcycles
The new fifth generation TomTom Rider for motorcycles is coming to the US. The most interesting new features are a larger 4.3″ glove-friendly screen, a “winding roads” feature to give you the curviest ride, and route management with Tyre or via a new “Upload Routes and Go” capability that will allow you to save online routes to the device. The Rider also includes Bluetooth for sending audio instructions to your helmet. read more

Hands on Garmin nuvi 52LM review
The Garmin nuvi 52LM is one of the company’s 2013 Essential series models, and while considered an entry-level device, it includes features such as speed limit display, junction view and lane assist – things that were relegated to high-end models not that long ago. It’s a great choice for someone who needs a basic navigator without the bells and whistles, and it’s got an extra-large 5″ display to boot. It also comes with preloaded maps of the entire US except Alaska and lifetime map updates. read more

The long-awaited TomTom navigation app finally came to Android in October, only to disappoint those of us with larger screen phones like my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which weren’t compatible. Free Garmin compatible maps of Europe
I’ve posted links to free international maps before, but it’s been awhile. Here’s a new site I came across that offers free European maps, including topo maps, for Garmin devices. The maps are routable and include 25 meter contour intervals. read more
New DeLorme all-in-one GPS + satellite communicator?

Garmin dezl 760LMT
The seven-inch Garmin Dezl 760LMT updates the 5″ dezl 560LMT, and is Garmin’s largest truck GPS. In addition to the larger screen, the 760LMT also adds voice command, a headphone jack/audio line out, and display of the elevation grade for the road you’re driving. read more

Here’s what our readers bought over the past month… The rankings below are based on the number of units sold on GPS Tracklog, through our various partners like Amazon and REI. The Garmin nuvi 50LM claimed the top spot on the auto side once again, but we have a new champion on the handheld list – the Garmin Oregon 550. On to the charts…
