Connected Garmin nuvi 2598FL clears the FCC
Well this isn’t what I expected to wake up to on Independence Day, but here it is; a Garmin nuvi 2598FL has cleared the FCC. 5 Reasons Every Geocacher Could Benefit From GSAK
If you’ve been geocaching for any amount of time, you’ve probably heard experienced cachers talk enthusiastically about the PC software application GSAK. And no doubt, if you’ve asked them what’s so special about it, and what it can do that your GPS cannot, you’ve received some vague answer that hasn’t had you completely convinced.

DeLorme inReach app gets free worldwide atlas with topo maps
Globetrotters rejoice! One of the missing pieces of the GPS puzzle for jet-setting adventurers is the lack of detailed maps for their devices. Sure, there are decent maps for most of Europe, Australia, etc., but you don’t even need to be in a third-world country before your GPS is pretty much devoid of mapping options. Now smartphone-toting trekkers have a new option though. read more
